The Thessalian Grove is a spiritual home for women of wayward paths, bewitching talents, and unbridled willpower. We are a living sisterhood for psychics, spiritualists, witches, and mystics; a sanctuary where women can gather, speak freely, and work their own magick without conformity.
In name, we pay homage to the ancient Witches of Thessaly, sorceresses of Greece feared and revered for their mastery of herbs, spellcraft, and their ability to draw down the moon. These women lived on the fringes of society, practicing their Craft with hidden knowledge that still calls to seekers today.
The Thessalian Grove champions Hekate as a patroness and guardian. We view her not only as a goddess, but as the primal current of magick and animation that resides within all things.
In her multitude of epithets, She is Phosphoros, The Torchbearer, Enodia, Lady of the Crossroads, Kleidouchos, The Key-Bearer, and Propylaia, The Gatekeeper. But despite all of her grandiose titles, She is truly without name or face. She is an eternal force that moves between seen and unseen, quickening the mysteries of both existence and inspiration.
While we venerate and draw our philosophies from Hekate’s mysteries, devotion to her is not a requirement for membership. The Thessalian Grove warmly welcomes women of
all faiths, spiritual traditions, and backgrounds, and offers no dogma, rigidity, or judgment on morality and practices within the Craft.
Every woman is free to explore the sorcerous arts in her own way, whether she chooses to walk a gentle path or to venture into realms of shadow.
Membership does not require an existing magical practice, and our arms are equally open to wizened practitioners as well as those who are only just beginning on their journey.
Above all, The Thessalian Grove exists as a temple and social meeting ground.
It is a place of respite, connection, and sisterhood for likeminded women who foster within them this an ancient spark of magick.
The gates are open.
